The railway line Albula / Bernina part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The Bernina Express connects north and south through 55 tunnels and 196 bridges to admire. For their spectacular railways Albula and Bernina have been included in 2008 list of World Heritage by UNESCO. La Linea del Bernina, in particular, is the only railway line running through the Swiss Alps in the open, offering breathtaking views of peaks, valleys, glaciers, meadows, forests and alpine lakes, exceeding 1.824 meters in altitude between Tirano (429 m.) and Hospice Bernina (2253 meters above sea level) in only 22 km as the crow flies, and facing slopes without the use of the rack.
