TRANSITECTS brings together 16 partners from the four countries Austria, Germany, Italy and Slovenia. Partner institutions are public bodies, mostly situated in the Alpine Space.
The political part of the cooperation is represented by the participating national transport respectively environmental ministries. Also the lead partner, the German Association for Housing, Urban and Spatial Development, working as a clearing point for the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs, represents not least national interest. Furthermore, the association brings in its experiences in being a neutral discussion platform for leaders in politics, business, administration, jurisprudence and science.
Participating regional administrations are reflecting start, end or further way points of transport connections – in the Alpine Space and beyond. Thus, some regional partners are heavily affected by freight traffic; others build a bridge to the European Transport Network.
