Partners
A part of the partnership cooperated already successfully in AlpFRail. Seven new partners could be gained. They represent significant economic areas (e.g. Lombardy region), are of political importance (e.g. Ministry of Transport, Slo), are heavily affected by freight traffic (e.g. Land Tyrol) or build a bridge to the European network (e.g. GL Berlin-Brandenburg). In total it is an innovative mixture of different levels of government (national, regional, local), different policy sectors (transport, environment and economy) and different geographical origin (D, AT, IT, Slo). The political key actors will be the Ministries of Transport and the Ministry of Environment. The technical decision makers will be the different regional and local authorities. The DV, a clearing agency for the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs, and hence experienced in being a neutral platform for leaders in politics, business, administration, jurisprudence and science, will be LP. The PM will be outsourced to an expert in the field of logistics, intermodality, financial management and transnational cooperation. The Thüringer Ministerium für Bau, Landesentwicklung und Medien, PP in the EU-project SoNoRa will be project observer. All partners are experienced in European projects and in performing joint transnational actions. The partnership is organized in a Project Steering Committee (PSC) and a Technical Committee (TCC). In both every partner is represented. The PSC will take the main decisions about the project implementation (technical, administrative and financial) and will meet at least 3 times. The TCC will be in regular exchange and meet every two months to discuss the progress of project implementation. The PPs decide if they need experts outside the partnership for certain actions and will contact and involve them directly if necessary (e.g. ports, railway operators).
