Georg Willi, leader of the Green Party in Tyrol considers the plans for the tunnel through the Brenner Pass as unrealistic. He argues that Austria and Italy are not able to finance the project. Furthermore, estimations on costs differ in the two countries. Willi is convinced that international goods traffic is going to decrease due to the shortage of petroleum.
